We found this solid and sharp peeler the last time we were in Niigata, Japan. The slight curve in the blade has two benefits: it wastes less by hugging the vegetable or fruit AND speeds up the peeling process because it covers more surface area than a regular peeler that contacts the vegetable or fruit tangentially.
The Speedy Peeler is great for creating citrus garnishes for cocktails because the curve requires less digging and force, which means less pith. The peeler also includes two potato eye removers on either side of the blade and is dishwasher safe.
